How to Become a Member:

To become a member:

  1. You can contact one of the affiliated credit unions and complete their membership application. The process is simple. By joining through an affiliated credit union, you can join us for free! You'll also receive all of the membership benefits and services of that credit union. Low loan rates and other tangible benefits are available!

  1. For immediate membership, please click on the card card payment option HERE. The lifetime cost of Membership is $12. Credit cards are the preferred form of payment because your data is confidential and completely secure.

Membership Benefits

We provide each new member with a membership certificate, monthly consumer bulletins, and additional benefits if you join through one of our affiliated credit unions. We invite you to take advantage of this unique membership opportunity and join us through a credit union where, as a member, you can receive low-interest loans and participate in financial workshops designed to help you and other consumers make smart choices to build your financial future.

Members are also invited to nominate companies and organizations for the "Friend of the Consumer" awards that we co-sponsors annually. Finally, our members receive the quarterly "Voice of the Consumer" newsletter that is distributed by the American Consumer Council and its affiliated member credit unions.

Toyota Recall Update

CNN Money reports that the number of Toyotas being recalled now tops 5.3 million vehicles. Some of them are among America's most popular cars. Here is what Toyota owners need to know as the carmaker scrambles to find a fix for the problem.

Which cars are involved? This specific recall affects Toyota's 2009-2010 RAV4, Corolla and Matrix models; the 2005-2010 Avalon; 2010 Highlander; 2007-2010 Tundra and the 2008-2010 Sequoia; and some 2007-2010 Camrys (only those with gas pedal assemblies made by a specific Toyota supplier; your dealer can check). No Lexus or Scion models are involved.
